About Me

I was introduced to karting by a friend of my Dad's when I was 5 or 6 when he testing his 250 at Felton.  My DT teacher at school ran a kart club after school at Seaton Burn, it was eye opening and a real priviledge.  Dad and I built our own while I was at school.  It was a copy of a TKM chassis and used a TKM L90 engine.  Unfortunately it was stolen.  Quite a few years have passed and I've finally got round to building a new one.  This time with a TKM KW125.

About Me

Hello All,

My interest in karts dates back to 1969 when as a 9 year old boy when I saw my first kart circulating in a parking lot.  I chose dirt bikes/mx over karts simply because there were more places to off road ride back then.  Now I am very interested in the vintage karts.  I am especially interested in the early era of superkart.

About Me

Hi folks,

I used to race at Felton & Rowrah in the late seventies number 78 100 national, I used to travel to the circuits with Terry Layborne (we shared a trailer), can't remember when I packed it in though. I have now aquired an Zip kart and hope to have it ready for Rowrah.

About Me

Attended mainly Wombwell in the early 80's with a 100 National Zip Mirage/Manx when I lived in West Yorkshire. Now living in Preston Lancashire.

Just rebuilt a 1979 Zip Shadow / Arrow hoping to take it to classic/historic events in 2009 such as Rowrah. This was supplied by Jim Coulthard before I rebuilt it, many thanks to Jim as both chassis and engine proved  to be a good foundation to rebuild on.
